Demo Release Notes

What is in each Atomic Rivals demo build, what is known to be wrong, and how to report a bug.

Latest build demo-1, released 8 November 2026.

Known issues

Updated 2 November 2026.

  • The demo ends on 1 January 1961. It covers the first fifteen years of the campaign; later years are not in this build.
  • Multiplayer is not available. The demo is singleplayer only.
  • Six countries are featured. The others can be played, but are marked Experimental: their events and AI are thinner and they may play oddly.
  • Some province names are wrong. A few provinces show a local-language or placeholder name instead of the period English name.
  • The first launch is slow. The game prepares its map caches on the first start; later starts are quicker.
  • AI wars can be unhistorical. The AI sometimes starts a war history did not have, or skips one it did.

Report a bug

When the game crashes it saves a report in the crashes folder of the game's install folder and shows you where the file is. The report holds the error and where it happened in the code, the build, the campaign date and country, and your last actions.

To report a crash or any other bug, send us:

  • the crash report file, if there is one;
  • what you were doing when it happened, and whether it happens again;
  • a screenshot, if the bug is something you can see.

Builds

demo-1
